Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
MUXI is maintained of VarOps LLC, a subsidiary of Automaze Ltd.
This Privacy Policy explains how VarOps LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use muxi.org, muxi.ai, muxi.dev, and their subdomains (collectively, the "Website"), and MUXI software products including the Server, Runtime, CLI, and SDKs (collectively, the "Software").
Our Commitment
We believe in transparency and minimal data collection. We collect only what's necessary to improve MUXI and provide you with relevant information. We never sell your data, and we design our systems to respect your privacy.
Information We Collect
1. Website Usage Data (muxi.org, muxi.ai, muxi.dev, and subdomains)
Analytics Cookies (Required; Anonymized)
We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our website. These cookies are not optional because they help us improve the site and understand adoption.
These analytics cookies do not collect personally identifiable information (PII). We cannot identify individual users from this data – we only see aggregated patterns like "50 people visited the quickstart guide" or "the docs are most popular in Europe". IP addresses are anonymized before being processed, meaning we never see your actual IP address. This data helps us make MUXI better without knowing who you are.
What we collect:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring websites
- Browser type and device information
- Geographic location (country/region level only, IP addresses are anonymized)
- Search queries within our documentation
- Click interactions and navigation patterns
- Formation browsing and search on the registry (registry.muxi.org)
Analytics provider: MixPanel w/o IP collection
Why we need this: To improve documentation, understand which features interest users, and identify technical issues.
Advertising Cookies (Optional)
We may use advertising cookies to show you relevant content and measure campaign effectiveness. These cookies are optional and require your consent.
Platforms we use:
- Google Ads
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel
- LinkedIn Insight Tag
- X (Twitter) Pixel
What they track: Ad impressions, clicks, conversions, and cross-site browsing behavior (subject to each platform's privacy policy)
How to opt out: Use the cookie consent banner on our website, or use your browser's "Do Not Track" settings.
Cookie duration:
- Our analytics cookies: Retained indefinitely for historical analysis
- Advertising cookies: Duration varies by platform (typically 90-365 days)
2. Newsletter and Webinar Sign-ups
When you subscribe to our newsletter or register for webinars, we collect:
Required:
- Email address
Optional:
- Name
- Company
- Job title
- GitHub username
What we do with it:
- Send you newsletters, product updates, and webinar invitations
- Occasionally send relevant technical content or announcements

Your rights: You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email, or by contacting privacy@muxi.org.
3. Software Telemetry (Optional)
MUXI's Server, Runtime, CLI, and SDKs include optional telemetry that helps us understand usage patterns and improve the software. No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected. This includes IP addresses.
How opt-in works:
- Default: Opt-in (telemetry is enabled unless you explicitly disable it)
- You can disable it anytime via configuration file, environment variable, or CLI flag
What we collect (when enabled):
- MUXI version and system information (OS, installation method)
- Feature usage (which features you use, how often)
- Performance metrics (response times, error rates, cache effectiveness)
- LLM provider and model choices (e.g., "using GPT-4" or "using Claude Sonnet")
- Aggregate statistics (number of agents, requests, sessions)
What we DO NOT collect:
- ❌ IP addresses
- ❌ Usernames, emails, or any identifying information
- ❌ Formation content, prompts, or LLM responses
- ❌ File names, paths, or code
- ❌ API keys, credentials, or secrets
- ❌ Domain names or URLs you're connecting to
Transmission & Retention:
- Data aggregated and sent via HTTPS to out telemtry service
- Sent every 12 hours (and on graceful shutdown)
- Retained indefinitely for historical analysis
Transparency:
MUXI is open source. You can review exactly what telemetry collects in our GitHub repository: https://github.com/muxi-ai/telemetry
4. Third-Party Services
